Rourkela: In a major breakthrough, the Rourkela Railway Protection Force (RPF) Friday busted a gang of robbers and arrested three members for their involvement in robberies and thefts from trains at the railway station here.
The cops have also seized Rs 2.23 crore from their possession.
The three accused have been identified as Rajan Shrivastav, Sanjay Gupta and Sunil Kumar.
Sources said, a businessman carrying valuables and cash worth Rs 3.14 crore was travelling on a train March 3. The accused trio was also travelling in the same train.
Taking advantages of his absence mind, they snatched the bag containing cash and tried to escape but RPF constables caught them up.
