Jajpur/Sambalpur: Holi celebrations turned fatal after four youths drowned including three members of a family in two separate incidents, Friday.
In the first incident, a youth met watery grave while taking bath in Kharsota River, Friday. The deceased has been identified as Niranjan Parmanik (20) of Ishwarpur village near Jajpur. Fire fighters later found the body from a river near Jaipur village.
Similarly, three members of a family drowned in Kherual river near Thelkoloi in Sambalpur. The deceased were identified as as Raju Paswan (29), Badal Paswan (8) and Subha Paswan (7).
They slipped into the river and went missing while taking bath after Holi celebration. Later a team of Thelkoloi police with the help of fire officials fished out the bodies.
All the deceased were residents of Banahi village under Rohtas of Bihar state.
