Bhubaneswar, May 13: The state government Wednesday suspended Berhampur division Vigilance Inspector Prabir Keshari Tripathy for illegally occupying government land. As per a letter issued from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), Tripathy, while working as the Vigilance Inspector at Sambalpur division, had illegally registered government land in the name of his brother, wife, brother-in-law and father-in-law. The letter also revealed that Tripathy was assisted by the then Sambalpur sub-collector Rainu Singh, former Tahasildar Ajay Kumar Tiwariand and Gyanranjan Bhanjdeo in this illegal act. The Chief Minister has given direction to initiate legal action against all of them including Tripathy and his brother, wife, brother-in-law and father-in-law under various sections of IPC.
