Berhampur: Police Sunday morning recovered the body of a receptionist from the room of a lodge where he was working at the new bus stand road in Berhampur.
The deceased was identified as 20-year-old Sagar Rout, a resident of Lathi Gaud village near Sadar.
Sagar was working as the receptionist of the lodge for the last eight years.
He went to his room for lunch at 2.30 pm Friday but did not turn up for duty till evening.
The lodge manager asked a staff to visit the room no-303 and find out why Sagar wasn’t joining duty.
The staff opened the door and found Sagar hanging from the fan.
He immediately informed the manager who intimated the police and Sagar’s father Chakradhar Rout, who works at a nearby lodge.
The police sent the body for post-mortem.
Love affair is said to be the reason behind the act. Further investigation is on.
