Deepika Padukone is busy shooting for her upcoming venture ‘Chhapaak’ these days. She is playing the role of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agrawal. Since the inception of shooting many photos of the actor has gone viral on the social media. This incidentally is Deepika’s first film after her marriage with Ranveer Singh.
Ranveer and Deepika got married in November last year. Shortly after, news of a pregnant Deepika started doing the rounds. Recently, while talking to a news portal, Deepika clarified about her present physical condition and quashed rumours about her pregnancy. “Pregnancy will happen at some point in my life. It is unfair to put women and a couple through that pressure,” she was quoted as saying.
“A woman should not be pressurised to get pregnant after marriage. It is wrong to point this out to women repeatedly. When we stop asking questions about pregnancy, I feel a big change will come in society,” the actor has added.
The character Deepika is portraying is called ‘Malti’. In the film, Vikrant Massey has been paired opposite Deepika. The Meghna Gulzar directed film is also being co-produced by Deepika and is expected to hit the screens January 10 next year.
