BHUBANESWAR: Mozilla Club BBSR hosted an intuitive seminar ‘Crypto Party’ at Patia here Monday. It was attended by speaker Ranjith Raj Vasam, Official Mozilla Representative, a thinker and data privacy advocate.
The seminar was aimed at passing on knowledge about protecting yourself in the digital space. This can include encrypted communication, preventing being tracked while browsing the web, and general security advice regarding computers and smart-phones.
Talking about the importance of one’s personal data and digital privacy, Ranjith Raj demonstrated live the vulnerability of every individual over the internet. The live session incorporated a healthy discussion about government policies both domestic and foreign which threatens our digital well being.
Lunch with the speaker helped in bridging the gap with participants giving rise to community building. The club called for global contribution on digital privacy as “you have to fight for your privacy or lose it.”
