Balasore: Even as the BJP has been carrying out a marathon campaign with political heavyweights crisscrossing Balasore, the saffron party is witnessing an influx of leaders and workers from other parities.
The BJP held rallies and road shows at various places in the district Thursday amid thousands of supporters.
Addressing the rallies, party nominee for the Balasore parliamentary seat Pratap Chandra Sarangi raised the development agenda of his party in the coastal district, known for paddy, betel and fish.
The veteran BJP leader asserted that a double engine government will be installed at the Centre and the state this time to push the pace of development.
“Our party is committed to push Balasore to the pinnacle of development after coming to power,” Sarangi asserted.
Speaking at a rally, party nominee for the Assembly seat, Madanmohan Datt said that all the families in the state will be provided land pattas and houses if the BJP comes to power. The jobless youth will be given employment opportunities.
Sarangi along with party leader Madan Mohan Datt campaigned for them at Srairampur, Rasalpur, Kasipada, Silda, Rupsa, Haladipada, Olanada, Sargan, Sindhia and Baincha panchayats.
