Keonjhar: Police detained a person for his suspicious movement inside the campus of Odisha School of Mining Engineering (OSME) premises in this town, Friday night. The EVMs have been kept at the premises of OSME.
While the identification of the person is yet to be ascertained, the BJP has claimed that the person is a software engineer.
Sources said, Friday night the unidentified person drove a jeep (OR09J-8777) into the campus. His entry sparked tension. The BJP workers deployed in the complex to kee a watch on the machines, objected to the man’s illegal entry and alerted the police.
Later police reached the place and detained the person. “The suspected person is being quizzed, and his vehicle is being inspected. Soon the intention with which he went into the campus will be known,” said town IIC Somnath Jena.
