New Delhi: Opting to bat, Delhi Capitals made 187 for five against Royal Challengers Bangalore in their IPL group league encounter at the Feroz Shah Kotla here, Sunday. Skipper Shreyas Iyer (52, 37b, 2×3, 3×6) and opener Shikhar Dhawan (50, 37b, 5×4, 2×6) got half centuries, but it was Sherfene Rutherford’s (28, 13b, 1×4, 3×6) effort that took Delhi past the 180-run mark.
Washington Sundar (1/29) and Yuzvendra Chahal (2/41) bowled well for RCB.
It is a must win game for Virat Kohli’s RCB if they want to keep their hopes alive of qualifying for the play-off stage.
