Chandbali: Though 10 days have passed since cyclonic storm Fani hit Chandbali block and NAC, the administration has not yet been able to assess the damages in the area.
Chandbali BDO is busy in official work in Puri, while the executive officer of the NAC is on the leave.
Tehsiladr Satyajit Rout was in-charge of the BDO. Revenue inspectors have been carrying out the survey, but it is yet to be completed.
On the other hand, affected families are regularly thronging the block and NAC offices for relief material and financial aid.
People in some areas are still living sans electricity amid a sultry weather. Many areas are still without electricity and people have no idea when the power will be restored.
