Korukonda: In an interesting development at C colony under Taralakota panchayat of Korukonda block in Malkangiri district, a woman and her son have passed the matriculation examination together.
The spectacular achievement of the mother-son duo is being talked about across the Korukonda block. Notably, Basanti Muduli and her son Sibananda Badanayak appeared matriculation examination this year.
Basanti who is working at the C colony Anganwadi Kendra as a worker passed the matriculation examination along with her son, after 18 years of her marriage. Furthermore, the son Sibananda was studying at Taralakota government high school and cleared the exam with C-grade scoring 340 marks.
However, his mother Basanti was studying under the Odisha State Open School Programme and had appeared the matriculation examination at Kudumulugumma government high school centre. She scored 203 marks and passed with D-grade.
