Puri, June 12: All CCTV cameras installed on Srimandir premises will be shut down for three days (June 13, 14 and 15) when several secret rituals are scheduled to be performed as part of the Trinity’s Nabakalebara.
A decision to this effect was taken in a meeting of Niti Samanwaya Committee of the temple Wednesday. The meeting chaired by Pradip Kumar Das discussed plans to ensure smooth conduct of all rituals, the schedule of which was also finalised.
A special chariot, being constructed at Dolabedi, will carry the Nyasa Darus and perambulate Srimandir June 13. Besides, several secret rituals will be performed June 14 while Brahma Parivartan and Patali Leela will be held June 15.
As for the schedule of June 15 rituals, it was decided to conduct Mangal Aalati at 4.30 am, Abakash at 5 am, Besha Sesha and Rosha homa at 5.15 am, worship of Lord Surya at 5.30 am, Dwarapala Puja at 5.45 am, Gopalballabha at 6.30 am, Sakala Dhupa between 7am and 8.30 am, Bhogamandap between 8 am and 9 am and Madhyanha Dhupa between 9.15 am and 10.30 am.
Beheran gate will be opened at 10.50 am following which some more rituals will be performed. As per schedule, Chakata Bhoga will be offered at 11.50 am and Panabhoga at 12.50 pm.
Jaya Bijay gate will be opened at 1.10 pm and then Sandhya Aalati will be held at 1.20 pm. Thereafter, Sandhyadhupa ritual will be held between 2 pm and 3.30 pm, Mailam and Chandanlagi at 4 pm, Bada Singhar Besha at 4.30 pm and Bada Singhar Bhoga at 5 pm.
Chakata Bhoga and Pana Bhoga will be offered again at 7 pm and 8 pm respectively. Thereupon, the process of Ghata Parivartan will commence.
