Bhubaneswar, June 13: Orissa karatekas continued their supremacy to win five more gold medals on day two of the VIth All India Karate Championship at the Utkal Karate School here Saturday.
Ayush Chhetri (12-13 years boys’ kumite, pool-I), Venkateswar Sahu (12-13 years boys’ kumite, pool-II), Rinki Panda (below black belt kumite, pool-I), Prakash Biswal (men’s white belt kumite pool-II) and D Kuldeep (men’s brown belt kumite) took the top honours in their respective categories.
Kabaddi tourney
Kuakhia Sporting registered double wins Saturday in their league matches of the state level kabaddi tournament at Kuakhia, Jajpur district. The hosts thrashed Puri 40-7 in the women’s category and defeated the same opponents 41-16 in the men’s segment.
