Bhubaneswar, June 13: A sex racket involving four women and a pimp was busted Saturday in a residential area of Goutam Nagar under Badagada police limits. The racket was being run under the garb of a herbal spa, and was raided by a Quick Action Team accompanied by Badagada ACP.
Four women, all aged 30, were rescued from the spot. Spa owner Bibhuti Bhushan Nayak (40) of Sahapad, who acted as pimp, was arrested along with a customer identified as Pawan Sharma (52) of Jatni.
All the four women belonged to Orissa and were sent for medicalexamination.
Packets of condoms were seized from the spa, inspector in-charge Suvendu Kumar Sinha said. The raid was conducted on a directive from the Commissionerate Police.
Recently, two sex rackets were busted under Lingaraj police limits. Both were being run under the garb of massage parlours.
