Balasore: Even as the administration is carrying out crackdown on middlemen at hospitals, and RTO offices, hundreds of medicine representatives alleged that they are being branded as ‘dalals’ and arrested in Balasore. They staged protests Tuesday and submitted a memorandum addressed to the Chief Minister and the Health Minister through Collector K Sudarshan Chakraborty.
They pointed out that Odisha High Court in its interim order in 2016 said that medicine representatives should be allowed for an hour to perform their professional work at hospitals and the medical colleges.
They demanded that the HC order should be implemented in letter and spirit.
