Baripada: A photograph showing a police PCR van parked near a foreign liquor shop on Palbani bypass in Baripada has gone viral on social media.
Later, breath analysis of the policemen was conducted Thursday, but tests were not positive.
The photo shows that the PCR van was near the liquor shop at 2:45pm Thursday and it is alleged that the cops were buying liquor during duty hours.
Meanwhile, attention of SP Parmar Smit Purusotamdas was drawn to the incident following which he ordered an investigation. He directed all the staff of the PCR van to be examined with breath analysers. However, none of them tested positive.
The SP said, “As a fight had broken out at the liquor shop, policemen had gone there.”
