Khaprakhol: Acting on a tip-off, a team of Special Operation Group (SOG) commandoes busted a Maoist camp during a combing operation at Gandhamardhan hills of Patnagarh block in Bolangir district, Saturday.
The raiding team launched a combing operation in the hills and busted the Maoist camp. Several articles used by red rebels have been seized from the spot during the search operation.
That said, there was no trace of any Maoist near the camp. Officials suspect that the extremists could have decamped before the arrival of the raiding party.
Bolangir SP and Khaprakhol IIC have reached the spot and further investigation is underway.
