Ranchi, Dec 26: BJP’s state vice-president and party MLA from Jamshedpur East Raghubar Das will be the next Chief Minister of Jharkhand.
The decision was taken at the meeting of the party’s MLAs held Friday at the state headquarters. Das’ name was proposed by MLA Neelkanth Singh Munda and supported by party leaders Saryu Rai and CP Singh.
Senior BJP leader and party observer JP Nadda said a consensus over Chief Minister’s name was reached after which Das was elected the party’s legislative wing leader unopposed. Nadda also thanked the people for giving the mandate in favour of good governance and the BJP and its allies in the assembly polls. “Under the leadership of Das, good governance would be provided to the people of Jharkhand,” he said.
