Mumbai: Rhea Chakraborty is being questioned for the past four days in connection with the Sushant Singh Rajput death case. The case has garnered unprecedented media attention. Meanwhile, Rhea has reached out to the Mumbai Police after getting upset with the media for intruding into her private space in the name of covering the case.
After being grilled by the CBI went she returned to her residence in suburban Santacruz she couldn’t enter the premises due to presence of a large number of media persons outside the building. Without stepping out of the car, Rhea directly went to the police station and filed a complaint with the Mumbai Police.
‘Actress Rhea Chakraborty has filed a complaint against the media for standing inside her building. She has asked the police to tell the media not to obstruct her way and to work keeping her constitutional rights in mind.
Earlier, she shared a video from outside her house in where the actress’s father can be seen surrounded by the press outside her home. She wrote, “This is inside my building compound, The man in this video is my father Indrajit chakraborty ( retd. army officer) We have been trying to get out of our house to cooperate with ED, CBI and various investigation authorities to cooperate. There is a threat to my life and my family’s life. We have informed the local police station and even gone there, no help provided. We have informed the investigation authorities to help us get to them, no help arrived. How is this family going to live? We are only asking for assistance, to cooperate with the various agencies that have asked us. I request @mumbaipolice to please provide protection so that we can cooperate with these investigation agencies. #safetyformyfamily In covid times, these basic law and order restrictions need to be provided. Thankyou (sic).”
Apart from CBI, the Enforcement Directorate and the Narcotics Control Bureau are carrying out their separate investigation in the case.
Sushant, originally from Bihar, was found dead in a house in Bandra in Mumbai 14 June. Sushant’s father KK Singh had lodged an FIR against 6 people including Rhea Chakraborty in Patna and made several serious allegations.
