Bhubaneswar, Jan 3: Orissa beat Madhya Pradesh via one over eliminator in their second Group D league match of the BCCI Senior Women’s T2o cricket tournament at Jabalpur, Sunday.
Opting to bat first, Orissa scored 125 for the loss of three wickets with the help of a half century by Madhusmita Behera (52, 50b, 4×4).
In reply, Madhya Pradesh also scored 125 in the allotted 20 overs for the loss of seven wickets. The match was tied and in the ensuing one over eliminator, Madhya Pradesh could score only 6. Orissa knocked off the target with three balls to spare.

Eminent athletics coach Nila Madhab Deo received the IVth Kamal Ganguly Memorial sports award for the year 2015 here Sunday. Deo was presented with a trophy along with cash prize of Rs 20,000 at a special function. Arjuna awardee weightlifter Bijay Kumar Satpathy was also honoured with the lifetime achievement award.
