Bolangir: Belpada police arrested Amit Singh Saluja alias Seji, the son of senior Congress leader and Kantabanji MLA Santosh Singh Saluja and five others in connection with a brawl at a cinema hall along Kantabanji-Belpada road. Later, police also seized 17-litre liquor and cash worth Rs 19 lakh from Amit’s gym, Thursday.
The accused were identified as Amit Singh Saluja alias Seji, Ajay Agarwal, Bikash Agarwal, Bipul Maru, Dharambir Gupta, and Raja Patra. All the accused were produced in the court and remanded to the custody of Patnagarh sub-jail after their bail pleas were rejected. This was stated here by Patnagarh SDPO Jyotirmaya Bhukta to mediapersons, Thursday.
Seji Singh was arrested after an alleged brawl at Alishan cinema hall on Kantabanji-Belpada road of Bolangir district and even misbehaved with police, Wednesday.
Later, police conducted raids at his fitness centre and seized Rs 19 lakh in cash and 17 litres of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) from his manager Raja Patra.
