Bhubaneswar: Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) has released an official notification for Combined Higher Secondary (Plus-II) or equivalent for Group-B and Group-C posts in various departments.
Candidates fulfilling eligibility criteria can apply on the official website www.ossc.gov.in.
According to the official notification, the application process will begin June 26 and end July 26.
Through this recruitment drive, as many as 354 posts are to be filled out of which 245 are for ‘Soil conservation extension workers’, 19 ‘Technical assistants’, three ‘Weaving engineers’ and 87 ‘Amins’ (Land surveyor) will be hired.
Required educational qualification
To appear for the examination the candidate must be able to read, write and speak Odia fluently and:
- Must have passed the middle school examination with Odia as a language subject.
Or,
- Must have passed the High School Certificate examination or equivalent examination with Odia as the medium of examination in a non-other language subject.
Or
- Candidates should have passed Odia as a Language subject in the final exam of Class-VII or above from a school or educational institute recognised by the Government of Odisha or the central government.
Or
- Must have passed a test in Odia in Middle English School standard conducted by the School and Mass Education Department (S&ME Dept), Government of Odisha.

Age Limit
To appear for the examination the candidate’s age must be between 21 years and 38 years.
Pay Scale
According to the official notification the pay scale for notified post is given below:
- Weaving supervisor: Rs 35,400 – Rs 1,12,400
- Soil conservation extension workers: Rs 21,700 – Rs 69,100
- Technical Assistant: Rs 19,900 – Rs 63,200
- Amin: Rs 18,000 – Rs 56,900
