Sonepur: An elderly woman fell into a 20-feet-deep borewell near Kainphoola square under Sonepur block of Odisha’s Subarnapur district.
The woman has been identified as Dukhi Negi.
The incident took place Tuesday morning while she was collecting cane grass to make brooms.
On being informed, fire services personnel rushed to the spot and started the rescue operation. Subarnapur District Collector Bimalendu Roy reached the spot to take stock of the situation.
