Rourkela: Students at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela secured 1,274 placement offers and 509 six-month internships leading to potential pre-placement offers in the 2024-25 placement drive, despite global challenges such as recession-induced layoffs.
The highest CTC recorded was Rs 62.44 lakh per annum, with the average CTC for BTech students at Rs 14.10 LPA and MTech students at Rs 13.48 LPA. The top internship offer reached Rs 1.26 lakh per month, and more than 85 students received annual packages above Rs 30 LPA.
Participation included 373 recruiters, nearly half joining for the first time. The majority were from software and IT services, followed by manufacturing, BFSI, electronics, and education. Top recruiters included Google, AMD, Qualcomm, Wells Fargo, Amazon, and ExxonMobil.
