Bhubaneswar: The state government has begun the process of setting up a world-class Science City in the Capital, Science and Technology Minister Krushna Chandra Patra said Saturday.
He further said that preparatory measures are underway, with emphasis on creating a hub for scientific research, innovation and experiential learning.
As part of the groundwork, Minister Patra, accompanied by senior officials, recently visited Patna to study the design and functioning of the Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Science City.
During the visit, he also held discussions with Bihar’s Deputy Chief Ministers Vijay Kumar Sinha and Samrat Choudhary on the subject.
The proposed Science City in Bhubaneswar will be developed over 100 acres of land.
It will feature modern exhibition halls, immersive learning spaces, research facilities, and interactive platforms aimed at promoting scientific study and innovation.
The project is expected to serve as a major centre for scientific education, innovation, and public engagement.
