Bhubaneswar: A preparatory meeting for Krushi Odisha 2025-26 was held in the City to plan the three-day event, scheduled to be celebrated with great enthusiasm from January 22 to 24.
The meeting, chaired by Deputy Chief Minister and Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, was attended by Principal Secretary Arabinda Kumar Padhee, director of Agriculture Shubham Saxena, director of Soil Conservation and Watershed Management Subrat Kumar Panda, and other senior officials.
During the meeting, officials discussed the ongoing preparations in detail and presented their suggestions for the successful organisation of the event.
According to the reports, from this year onwards, the Krushi Odisha Conference will be held annually on a fixed date in January, with participation from intellectuals, successful farmers, scientists, agricultural producers, and FPOs from across the state and the country.
The conference will feature over 250 stalls by agricultural entrepreneurs, self-help groups, and Mission Shakti members, and is expected to attract more than 10,000 farmers.
Plans also include a special exhibition on farm mechanisation and modern agricultural equipment, while the meeting addressed accommodation and other arrangements for farmers travelling from distant areas.
