Cuttack: Young Utkal Club (YUC) registered a comprehensive 2-0 victory over Chand Club in a FAO Ist division league match at the Barabati Stadium here Sunday.
Coming off from a defeat in their previous match YUC played some attacking football right from the start of the match. They opened their account as early as in the fourth minute through a fine strike from Ganesh Bhoi. In the second half also they continued with their aggressive play and Prakash Bhoi doubled the lead for YUC in the 51st min to seal the fate of the lop-sided match in their favour.
In another match of the day Radha Gobinda Club played out a drab goal less draw with YVCG.

Three players from Orissa have been selected Sunday in the Indian team for the 51st Asian Bodybuilding Championships at Seoul, South Korea, August 20-26. They are Pankaj Lochan Pratihari (50 kg), Anil Gochhikar (70 kg) and S Rajesh Babu Achari (masters category).
Football tennis tourney
Orissa State Football Tennis Association will organise the Invitational Football Tennis Championship at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar, September 16-19. Eight teams from Orissa and four teams from outside the state will participate in the tournament.
Basketball League
Bhubaneswar Basketball Association (BBA) in association with the Basketball Players Association of India will jointly organise the Bhubaneswar Inter-School Basketball League for boys and girls in Bhubaneswar, August 28-September 3. Interested schools should contact BBA immediately.
