Bhubaneswar: In a move aimed at strengthening governance and improving service delivery at the grassroots level, the state government has announced the creation of four new tehsils.
Now, the total number of tehsils will rise from 317 to 321.
The Revenue and Disaster Management department has issued official letters to the Collectors of Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, and Sambalpur districts regarding the expansion.

Of the four, two will be established in Bhubaneswar, while one each will come up in Cuttack and Sambalpur.
