Bhubaneswar: Three districts of Odisha are likely to receive heavy rainfall, with the Regional Centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issuing a yellow warning for Mayurbhanj, Kendujhar and Sundaragada as thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds are expected in several parts of the state.
Under the yellow warning, isolated places in Mayurbhanj, Kendujhar and Sundaragada may receive heavy rain, the IMD said.
The weather system is likely to bring unsettled conditions across Odisha over the next five days, thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds are also likely in parts of northern and coastal Odisha.
Ganjam, Gajapati, Nayagada, Khordha, Puri and Kataka are among the districts that may experience similar weather conditions.
The IMD has advised people to remain alert during thunderstorms and follow official weather advisories.
