Bhubaneswar, Jan 30: The Council of Higher Secondary Examination (CHSE) has decided to increase the evaluation centres from 47 to 50 for the smooth conduct of evaluation for the upcoming Plus II examination.
The Council has also decided to abolish the post of deputy chief evaluator at the centres.
The issue of delay in evaluation came up for discussion at a recent meeting of principals and evaluation centre supervisors. Last year, the CHSE had assigned 47 evaluation centres for the process. The number of such centres has been raised to 50 this year.
Moreover, the CHSE has also abolished the post of deputy chief evaluator at each evaluation centre as it was felt at the meeting that there is no need of this post.
The decisions have been taken at the final meeting of the committee held Friday.
“It was decided to add three more evaluation centres for the smooth conduct of the evaluation process. The evaluation panel has decided to increase the number of evaluation centre and abolish the existing deputy chief evaluator posts from the evaluation centres,” said CHSE chairman Basudev Chattoi.
The practical examination of Plus II will begin February 2 while the theory papers will commence March 2.
