A village where you can’t touch anything including humans

India is a country which is full of mysteries and places whose lore and legends will leave you speechless. Today we are going to tell you about a village and its secrets might fascinate you.

Situated at an altitude of 9,938 ft above the sea level, Malana village in the state of Himachal Pradesh is known as the ‘village of taboos’.

This village has the status of being India’s most mysterious village. Residents of this village have formed certain rules for the visitors and he/she has to obey it. One such rule is that whoever comes to visit this village is prohibited from touching anything.

If he/she touches anything, then they have to pay a fine because the locals here believe that outsiders are untouchables.

This fine is not petty because they may have to shelve out sums starting from Rs 1000 to Rs 2500. You will be surprised to know that outsiders are not even allowed to touch the local residents of this village. And if someone does this, then they have to pay a fine.

People here believe that they belong to the Aryan race and are descendents of the soldiers of the Macedonian conqueror Alexander the Great. The Malenese people have also inherited facial features that resemble the Romans.

Another strange thing about this place is that you will find bones, skulls and skeletons hanging in the walls of the village. These skeletons are not of humans but of animals that have been offered as sacrifice. Outsiders might get scared of this horror show but it thrills the native villagers.
