Balasore: A newborn baby girl, believed to be around 14-15 day old, was found abandoned on a roadside near Phuladi area in this district Sunday night.
According to reports, two persons heard the screams of the baby at 10.30 pm and they rescued her.
Immediately they rushed the baby to the Sishu Bhawan at the district hospital where she has been undergoing treatment.
A written complaint has also been filed at the DHH Police Aid Post following which the officials reached the hospital and started an investigation.
“The girl aged about 14-15 days old was admitted by Sankarsana Das and Kartika Chandra Pradhan of Phuladi area. She is undergoing treatment,” Bijay Kumar Nayak, outpost in-charge, Balasore DHH, said.
