Bhubaneswar: The agitating teachers under the aegis of Odisha School College Teachers’ and Employee’s United Forum said they would observe the Teachers’ Day, September 5 as Black Day.
The teachers’ body has also decided to shut down schools and colleges from September 6, if their demands are not fulfilled by the state government.
Notably, the teachers are on an indefinite strike at Mahatma Gandhi Marg here since August 16. They are seeking revision in the newly implemented grant-in-aid system which the state government introduced after abolishing the block grant system in October last year.
