Aradi: After remaining out of bound for devotees for nearly four months, the famous Baba Akhandalamani temple at Aradi village in Bhadrak district reopened Monday. The temple was closed since May 2.
After completion of all the rituals started at 5:00 am, devotees who were eagerly waiting for darshan of the deity were allowed to enter the temple from 6:00 am onwards.
The devotees entered into the temple in queue following the Covid-19 guidelines.
Since the day of the temple’s reopening coincided with Monday, devotees were doubly excited. The environment in the entire temple reverberated with chants.
After coming out of the temple, the devotees shared their feelings, saying they felt uplifted after having a glimpse of Baba Akhandalamani. Similarly, the servitors too were happy for having devotees at the shrine after a long time.
The temple and district administration made elaborate arrangements for devotees to have free and hassle-free darshan of the deity, which continued till 8:00 pm.
While Chandbali tehsildar Sushant Kumar Sutar and manager of Baba Akhandalamani temple Bidyadhar Palai were present at the temple to monitor the situation, two sections of police force under led by Dhushuri police station IIC Prafulla Kumar Singh and Aradi outpost officer Kulamani Patra were deployed to maintain the law and order situation. Since the first day passed without any hitch, Bhadrak Sub-Collector thanked the devotees of Baba Akhandalamani for cooperating with the district administration by following the Covid-19 guidelines.
