The delay in announcement of results had initially left the students of CBSE class X panicked and tense. But, tension made way for cheers and celebrations Saturday as the central board declared the much-awaited results. Students had a mixed reaction to the results. While some were overwhelmed with the scores, few were left disappointed. Nonetheless, most of the students and their parents breathed a sigh of relief Saturday. No sooner were the results declared, than the students had planned for their next steps. Orissa POST visited some CBSE schools across the city and interacted with the top-scorers there. The students shared their future plans and reactions with us. Here’s what they said:
I have scored 9.4 CGPA. I am satisfied with my success. I have got highest marks in English and Oriya subjects. I am now planning to pursue my plus II course in humanities. I want to pursue the same in a school and not opt for college. I will definitely continue singing along with the education. I have recently recorded a song for an Oriya film Abhaya.

I was little tense about the result initially. The alleged stories of faulty evaluation by the board in Class XII had triggered panic among students. The delay in announcement of results also left many worried. Finally, I heaved a sigh of relief as the results were announced. I am planning to pursue Plus II in science stream. I scored CGPA 10 and A+ score in all the subjects. I was praying since morning for the result. I was very happy after it was announced. I will keep studying hard to do well in the next level also. I have already chalked out a study plan for plus II. It’s going to be tougher definitely.
KOMAL PATI (CGPA 10)
I was confident about my performance. I had prepared well for the exam. I will now prepare for the IIT along with my class XII exam.
DIBYASHA DAS
I was pretty sure of my result. I was not tense at all. I had the faith on my preparation, school and teachers. Our school students have been performing well under CBSE since years. I will prepare for IIT along with Class XII.
BISWA MOHAN DAS
I was expecting to score 10 points. My expectation was fulfilled today. I am thankful to the teachers and my mother. I will prepare for IIT and other engineering entrances along with Class XII exam.
