Bhubaneswar: Anish Das Talukdar of ODM School has been selected to the Indian team for the IInd Cadet Asian Kyorugi Taekwondo Championships at Ho Chi Min City in Vietnam. The event will take place June 6-8.
Anish has been selected for the Asian meet on the basis of his success in the recently-concluded National Level Taekwondo Championship in New Delhi.
ODM principal S Minakertan and other members of the school felicitated Anish, Friday for getting the chance to participate in an international tournament. They also congratulated Anish and his trainer Lalat Kumar Parida a teacher of the school, for their feats and wished both luck ahead of the Asian competition.
“Anish is a very promising talent and we are hopeful that he will perform well in the Asian meet. If he performs to his potential, then there is every chance that he will win a medal there,” Lalat stated.
Anish will proceed to Vietnam with the Indian team from New Delhi, June 2.
