Bhubaneswar, Nov 30: They have never won gold in the Champions Trophy hockey tournament, but Argentina who arrived here Sunday aim to put a good show for the spectators and emerge triumphant.

Speaking after arriving at the Biju Patnaik International Airport, Coach, Carlos Retegui said: “We are really looking forward for an exciting tournament and compete with the other teams in the best possible way.”
Retegui revealed that his team will rely on its short corner strength and is working hard to make it its best weapon against opponents. “We are good at our short corners and are working on it even more to make our game a strong one.”
The Los Leones’ coach also expressed happiness over the weather in the capital, saying it is ‘quite pleasing’.
Talking about the Indian team, Argentina player Gonzalo Peillat, who has earlier played here the Kalinga Lancers in the Hockey India league, said: “Indian team is doing very well and have been growing tremendously as a team.”
However, he added that his team will give its best and try to please the spectators. “We are really excited to play here and will give your best to put forward a good show for the spectators in the city.”
Placed in Pool B, along with the Netherlands, Germany and the host, Argentina will play their first match against the Netherlands December 6
