Cuttack, Feb 23: Kartik Biswal took a total of twelve wickets to help Bhubaneswar-A to register a thumping one innings and 116 runs victory over Bolangir in the Kalahandi Cup at the BOSE Ground here Tuesday.
After opting to bat first, Bolangir failed to tackle Kartik (4/3) and were bundled out for a paltry 67 in their first innings. Rakesh Mohapatra (3/21) also bowled well to support Kartik. In reply Bhubaneswar-A declared their first innings on 250/4 with Abhinab Ghose (103) hitting a scintillating century. Bolangir again faced a batting debacle in their second essay and were skittled out for 67 against some discipline bowling by Kartik (8/38).

Orissa beat Chhattisgarh
Orissa edged out Chhattisgarh 2-1 in a Pool D match of the AITA Inter-State Women’s tennis tournament at Bhilai, Tuesday. In a singles match Anaam Almas of the state defeated Navni Sisodia in direct sets 6-0, 6-1. In the doubles match, the duo of Almas and Shilpiswarupa Das got the better of Navni and A Dharana Mudaliar 6-4, 6-2. But In another singles match, Shilpiswarupa suffered a narrow 6-4, 4-6, 1-6 loss against Dharana.
