Mumbai: Shocking news for Kareena Kapoor fans. If reports are to be believed local Congress leaders from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh want Bollywood’s leading lady Kareena Kapoor Khan to contest Lok Sabha elections from Bhopal on party ticket.
Kareena’s husband Saif Ali Khan hails from Bhopal and the actress often visits the city, and has a great fan-following among the youngsters, who will vote for her.
Corporator Guddu Chauhan is seeking an appointment with Chief Minister Kamal Nath to convince him to give Kareena Kapoor party ticket to stand in the elections.
The Pataudi family has had strong ties with the city her father-in-law and cricketing legend Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi had also contested elections from Bhopal in 1991. However, Kareena’s entry in election might be game changer in the upcoming elections.
However, nothing has been confirmed in this regard and is said to be just a rumour.
Adding to it, not only Kareena, there were reports of cricketer MS Dhoni and Gautam Gambhir taking a plunge into the political arena. It was reported that the duo would contest elections for the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) from their respective states – Jharkhand and Delhi.
On the professional, Kareena will be next seen in Akshay Kumar’s Good News which also stars Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani. She will also be seen in Karan Johar’s Takht which boosts of a stellar star cast which includes names like Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal, Alia Bhatt, Bhumi Pednekar, Anil Kapoor and Janhavi Kapoor.
