Bhubaneswar, July 12: Classy designs and beautiful models from various parts of the country will boost the glamour quotient of the city. The second edition of the multi-designer fashion show— Bhubaneswar Style Week—will kick-start, July 15. Ritika Halan, Roshan Kumar and Sujit Meher are some of the leading fashion designers from Orissa who will participate in the two-day long show. “Last year, we conducted this fashion show for one day. But, this time it will be a two-day long affair. It will exhibit the best designs of fashionistas from Orissa and the entire country. There will be a special show on Ikat garments and Oriya bridal collections by Sujit Meher, Ritika Halan and Roshan Kumar respectively,” said Ajay Kumar Behera of the organising team. “We have also included a special sequence on kids. It will be presented by Ritika Halan. Popular fashion choreographer from Orissa John Ajay is training children for the show,” said Ajay. A leading jwellery brand has collaborated with Bhubaneswar Style Week. They will show the bridal collections of diamond and gold jewelries. “More than 20 na
tional-level models will walk on the ramp. It will be a real surprise. But, the city will see some of the known faces from the modeling world,” he added. “The aim behind organising this style week is to connect the gap between commerce and creativity. Bhubaneswar is progressing to become a smart city, so we thought the style and fashion statement of the city needs enhancement. We want to put the city as a shining and globally oriented destination for fashion. We are hopeful that in future it will become one of the important fashion shows in the country,” he said
