Odagaon: A woman was injured Wednesday night in an attack by two miscreants at Kaibalyapur on the Odagaon Bahadajhola road in Nayagarh district. Rajani Parida (40) has been admitted to the Nayagarh district hospital.
Reports said Jay Parida, husband of Rajani, parked his auto rickshaw in front of his house and called his wife out. While Rajani was standing near the auto and talking to her husband, two bike-borne miscreants came in and attacked her with a sharp weapon. This caused deep wounds on her chest and hand. The assailants fled the scene.
Odagaon police reached the spot and started an investigation.
