Bhubaneswar, Dec 20: In a minor reshuffle in bureaucracy, the state government Saturday appointed Raj Kumar Sharma as the principal secretary of Steel and Mines (S&M) department, officials said.
Sharma, a 1987 batch IAS officer, was working as the principal secretary of forest and environment department.
A general administration department notification said, development commissioner UN Behera has been given additional charge of forest and environment secretary.
S&M secretary Gudey Srinivas has been posted as principal secretary in labour and employee’s state insurance department. He was given additional charge of information technology (IT). A 1992-batch IAS, Chandra Sekhar Kumar and 1996-batch IAS Vishal Kumar Dev got joint secretary level appointments in the Union government.
GA department special secretary Niten Chandra was posted as principal secretary.
Commissioner, Commercial Taxes, Manoj Ahuja was promoted to the rank of principal secretary. He will continue in his post which has been declared equivalent to the post of principal secretary. Health and family welfare secretary Arti Ahuja, was promoted as principal secretary.
