Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar Ladies Circle (BLC)-12 presented additional tool kits to nine skilled Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) at a function held at the National Career Service Centre for Differently-Abled (NCSCDA), Bhubaneswar Sunday.
The recipients have already established their ventures soon after their training at the NCSCDA and the new equipment will encourage them to expand their units.
During the programme, Chandni Saklani, chairperson; Nancy Khimji, vice-chairperson; and Nitika Motwani, secretary, of BLC 12, and Ram Kishor Sharma, assistant director (Employment); Prithwish Ranjan Dash, intake assistant; J Padmanav Rao, young professional of the NCSCDA, were guests on the dais.
Sharma welcomed the participants such as BLC 12 representatives, trainees, NCSCDA staff and outlined the partnership with BLC 12 and its support to potential PwDs entrepreneurs.
Saklani explained to the audience about Ladies Circle India, which works with an aim of ‘Educate to Enlighten’ and is involved in many welfare activities across the country. She said providing tool kits to PwDs entrepreneurs “is just an initiative of our work to expand their units with more services. We will also extend continuous support for such meaningful activities.”
Nancy Khimji and Nikita Motwani congratulated the PwDs entrepreneurs on receiving such advanced tool kits and advised them to utilise them in their units to extend more services to stakeholders.
Padmanav Rao thanked the participants and guests on the dais for supporting the cause of empowering PwDs, which will lead to build a New India.
