Lahunipara: Bodies of two minors who went missing Wednesday while at bath in River Brahmani were fished out here, in Sundargarh district, Thursday morning. The deceased were Subham Kumar, son of Ramesh Ray, and Saurabh, son of Motilal Jaiswal. Both were Class X students, aged between 14 and 15.
After post-mortem at the Lahunipara hospital, the bodies were handed over to the families. Lahunipara tehsildar Saumyarupa Ratha was present during the post-mortem.
After the boys went missing, fire department personnel reached the spot and started the rescue operation till dusk, but failed to trace them. A joint operation by the fire department and an ODRAF team resumed Thursday morning, leading to recovery of the bodies.
