Rourkela: A Rourkela-based builder had a narrow escape after some unidentified miscreants opened fire at him on Tuesday morning near Beladihi in the outskirts of Rourkela.
Though the builder, identified as Anmol Singh escaped unhurt in the attack, one of his bodyguards sustained bullet injury.
According to sources, Singh accompanied by his bodyguards was on his way to home in Rourkela when the miscreants waylaid their car and fired 10 rounds of bullets. Later, the miscreants fled the area.
On being informed, Brahmanitarang police reached the spot and recovered five empty cartridges from the spot.
Sources said this is the second unsuccessful attempt by miscreants to eliminate the businessman. Police have also launched a probe into the incident and a manhunt to zero in on the attackers.
