Singh had been ill for a fairly long time and was undergoing treatment in Singapore for some months. He was reported to have been battling health issues since the beginning of 2013.
A recent report published in a daily said he was in ICU and his family was by his side at the hospital.
Singh had suffered kidney failure in year 2013 and was repeatedly said to be in ill health since then.
