Hatadihi: Vigilance sleuths Thursday morning caught the head clerk of block education office in this block in Keonjhar district accepting a bribe.
Block education officer Dhaneswar Khandei said head clerk Pradeep Kumar Sahoo took a bribe of Rs 5, 000 from a teacher to cancel a suspension order.
“We have arrested the head clerk,” said Vigilance DSP at Bhadrak, Sarat Mohapatra, adding the head clerk’s residence at Bant in Bhadrak district was also raided. The operation was jointly executed by the vigilance officials of Keonjhar and Bhadrak.
