New Delhi, April 28: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) submitted a preliminary investigation report in a sealed cover before the Supreme Court Tuesday on the sensational Itishree Pradhan murder case.
Since the probe is going on and the culprit is yet to be apprehended, the CBI has sought more time to complete the probe. The SC has granted three more months to the agency.
A two-judge bench comprising Justice Ranjan Gogoi and Justice N V Ramana asked the state government to submit the inquiry report in coming two days. The next hearing will be held 30 April, 2015.
Itishree, a teacher in Tikri upper primary school, was set afire in her room October 27, 2013 and died November 1, 2013. The CBI completed its third round of probe last week. The SC had asked it to file a status report on the progress of the investigation.
