Recently the weddings of Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra-Nick Jonas garnered a lot of attention. They say ‘marriages are made in heaven’ and those that are really so last for a life time. However, there are plenty of instances where a celebrity has tied the nuptial knot on numerous occasions. The legendary actress Elizabeth Taylor got married eight times. Today we take a look at some of those people who have got hitched for more than two times.
Kishore Kumar
Kishore Kumar tied the nuptial knot four times. He got married to Ruma Guha Thakurta at the age of 21. However, after eight years of family life they divorced. Then he married Madhubala. After her demise in 1969, Kishore married actress Yogeeta Bali, but it wasn’t a case of ‘third time lucky’ for the legendary singer. The third marriage lasted only two years. Kishore then married actress Leena Chandravarkar.
Kabir Bedi
Kabir Bedi surprised everyone when he announced his fourth marriage time at age of 70 to British actress and model Parveen Dosanjh in 2016. His first marriage to danseuse Protima Bedi and his second to fashion designer Susanne Humphrey did not last long. In 1990, he married Nikki, but again got divorced in 2005.
Sanjay Dutt
Actor Sanjay Dutt has been married to Manyata for some time now. Prior to her, Sanjay had divorced his second wife Riya Pillai. Dutt’s first wife Richa Sharma died of brain tumour in 1996. However, by then the two had officially separated. Sanjay also has a daughter from Richa. She is called Trishala and stays in New York.
Karan Singh Grover
Model-turned-actor Karan Singh Grover had heads rolling when he tied the knot with Bipasha Basu in 2016. It was his third marriage. Karan had first married Shraddha Nigam in 2008, but got divorced a year later. He got hitched with Jennifer Winget in 2012, but that also did not work out and the two seprated in 2014. His marriage to Bips (as Bipasha is popularly known) has lasted the longest. Let’s wish them all the happiness in the days to come.
Neelima Azeem
TV actor Neelima Azeem also got married thrice, but none of them lasted. She first got married to Pankaj Kapur (1975-1984), followed by weddings to Rajesh Khattar (1990-2001) and Raza Ali Khan (2004-2009). No one knows why the marriages did not work. Incidentally Neelima is the mom of actors Shahid Kapoor (first wedlock) and Ishaan Khatter (second marriage).
Siddharth Roy Kapoor
Siddharth Roy Kapoor is currently married to Vidya Balan. However, Siddharth first marriage was with childhood friend, Aarti Bajaj. When that did not work out he got married with a TV producer. After separating from her in 2008, he got hitched to Vidya Balan in 2012.
