Mumbai: Child actors who started working in television serials have now grown older. Whether it is ‘Balika Vadhu’s’ Anindita or ‘Shaka Laka Boom Boom’ star, Sanju, they still remain a constant feature on TV serials and now are playing lead roles.
Here’s a look at some of these stars who started as child artists
Jannat Zubair
Jannat Zubair Rahmani, started her career in 2009 but gained recognition through Colors TV’s ‘Phulwa’ in 2011. She won hearts of people through her acting. She has also played the lead role in ‘Tu Aashiqui’ (2017-18).
Sparsh Khanchandani
Sparsh debuted with the role of a young ‘Ichcha’ in ‘Uttaran’. She has featured in many TV serials and if reports are to be believed she will be playing the actress in the upcoming show ‘Vikram Betal’. At a young age she has achieved a lot. She has performed in the film ‘Hichki’ as ‘Oru’.
Kinshuk Vaidya
In the year 2000, ‘Shaka Laka Boom Boom’ was among the favourite shows for children. The serial featured a child who played the role of ‘Sanju’. He had a pencil and whatever he drew with it, it turned into a reality. The lead character Sanju was portrayed by Kinshuk Vaidya. After a long gap, Kinshuk has made a comeback on TV and now he is playing Arjun in ‘Karn Sangini’.
Avika Gor
Balika Vadhu’s actress Avika was everyone’s favourite due to her innocent portrayal of her character titled ‘Nandita’. She is now 21 and she has featured in many serials. She is also working in the South Indian film industry.
